13:15 Taj Alriyadh
Unless one of the newcomers attracts strong support it may prove best to focus on TAJ ALRIYADH, Hester Prynne and Whiteandblue, who are preferred in that order. The selection impressed when winning here over 5f last week and is taken to cope with his penalty, this faster surface and the step up in trip.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
13:50 Lincoln Gamble
Several of these have fair claims and the pick of them may be topweight LINCOLN GAMBLE, who shaped quite nicely on his recent seasonal reappearance and races off last summer’s winning mark. The dangers are headed by Gullane One, Alex Gracie and, in particular, Redzone.
14:20 Taj Alola
With Clifford (may need further) and Roystan Girl (looking exposed and trying longer trip) possibly vulnerable, it may pay to look at one of the newcomers. TAJ ALOLA and Better Half, who hail from strong yards which can ready a juvenile to win first time up, may be good enough to battle this out. Slight preference is for Karl Burke’s runner as the yard had a well-backed winning juvenile here last week. Of the rest, Timbukone and Coligone Kate are worth a second look.
14:50 Merry Secret
Habitual front-runner Ventura Rascal may face competition for the lead, possibly from fellow C&D winner Hope Probe, so he is narrowly opposed conceding weight all round. MERRY SECRET also likes to be up there but can also take a lead and may be able to pick off the topweight late on. With Time Has Wings looking better at 6f, Taylored looks the other one to consider.
15:20 Militia
If turned out quickly after his latest solid effort on Monday, the consistent Dark Shot has to warrant consideration. However, the vote goes to MILITIA who is weighted to win again and, as a front-runner, should be well suited to this track (placed on both previous visits). Machree ran an encouraging race last time and may give him most to do.

15:50 Go On Gal
In an unconvincing field, the 8yo GO ON GAL brings relatively recent winning form and has been running with credit since. She gets the vote ahead of 10yo Flower Power, who’s a three-time winner at this course, while Tarnhelm has a good chance to register further minor honours.
16:25 Hoofs Happy Now
The drop into a Class 6 for the first time in over five years brings Mr Orange into the equation, while Macmerry Jim would have a chance if returning to the form of his narrow Musselburgh defeat on his penultimate outing, but HOOFS HAPPY NOW looks interesting. She again didn’t get home over 1m last time, but had run well over this trip at Redcar the time before and this sharp 7f may prove right up her street.
17:00 Motawaazy (NAP)
Monday’s Beverley winner Shackabooah, recent C&D scoorer Mr Strutter and the well-handicapped Ice Age are each worth consideration but ready preference is for the in-form and progressive MOTAWAAZY (nap), who is 2-2 over C&D this season and can defy another rise in the weights. Shackabooah may pose the biggest threat.
