We’ve got a few interesting cards on Tuesday, July 13th across England and Ireland, with meetings at Bath, Beverley, Brighton, Southwell, Killarney and Downpatrick.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
Instead of you studying each card in depth, Paddy Power racing trader Conor Murphy has done all the work for you as he gives his two fancies at Beverley and Killarney. That’s good of him, isn’t it?
15:15 Beverley – Golden Flame
I’m going for Golden Flame in this one. He looks like one who should get an easy enough lead and he looks at his best when he’s allowed to dictate smaller fields. He had a tough assignment racing in the Queens Vase at Royal Ascot. That’s a big ask for any horse to be able to do that.
He’s back down in grade to handicap company here and he’s also up in trip to two miles for the first time, however, it won’t inconvenience him at all. If Ben Curtis is able to get it right he’ll be very hard to peg back in a small field.
19:25 Killarney – Maolin
I’m going to side with Maolin here. I think she was a little bit unlucky last time out at Leopardstown in June on her first go in handicap company. She got into a bit of trouble and wasn’t ideally positioned given the fact they went pretty quick early on.
She’s still progressing and that was her third ever start. She can improve again here, she’s up in trip and has a nice swing at the weights with Sweet Molly Malone who re-opposes. Maolin will give a really good account of herself here.
