Football fans around the world have enjoyed Euro 2020 and attention will soon turn to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and Paddy Power has all the information you need ahead of the tournament.

Qualifying games for next year’s World Cup are underway and will finish in November 2021. There will also be qualification play-offs which will take place in March 2022.

Group A: Portugal, Serbia, Republic of Ireland, Luxembourg, Azerbaijan, Qatar
Group B: Spain, Sweden, Greece, Georgia, Kosovo
Group C: Italy, Switzerland, Northern Ireland, Bulgaria, Lithuania
Group D: France, Ukraine, Finland, Bosnia, Kazakhstan
Group E: Belgium, Wales, Czech Republic, Belarus, Estonia
Group F: Denmark, Austria, Scotland, Israel, Faroe Islands, Moldova
Group G: Netherlands, Turkey, Norway, Montenegro, Latvia, Gibraltar
Group H: Croatia, Slovakia, Russia, Slovenia, Cyprus, Malta
Group I: England, Poland, Hungary, Albania, Andorra, San Marino
Group J: Germany, Romania, Iceland, North Macedonia, Armenia, Liechtenstein

England have won all three of their qualifiers so far. Republic of Ireland, meanwhile, have lost both of their fixtures and Northern Ireland have drawn one and lost one.

Wales have won one and lost one of their qualifiers so far and Scotland are currently unbeaten having won one and drawn two of their three matches.

Qatar World Cup 2022 dates:

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will take place in Qatar from November 21 to December 18. The tournament is taking place late in the year due to Qatar’s climate and it will also be condensed to around 28 days.

Qatar will have eight venues in five host cities. Capital Doha, Lusail, Al Khor, Al Rayyan and Al Wakrah will all host games at the 2022 World Cup. The final will take place in Lusail on December 18.

It will also be the last World Cup to involve 32 teams, with a scheduled increase to 48 teams taking place from 2026.

Qatar World Cup 2022 odds:

France are currently the favourites to retain the World Cup in Qatar. Brazil and Germany are next in line, with Gareth Southgate’s England currently fourth favourites to win it all.
