KATARA has passed her last two examinations with flying colours for a combined nine lengths winning margin. The last of those has to be upgraded dramatically on the July course as it was a new course record over the mile and a half trip.
Admittedly she wouldn’t want too much rain to fall as she looks as if she is a top-of-the-ground filly and good conditions should not blunt her natural speed. Alpanista was ridden to run well last time at York and may well be flattered by her proximity to Love.

It’s only 13 days ago that Irish-trained MONDAY put her best foot forward when winning at Leopardstown. The second that day had already shown a good level of form up in Group 2 company when chasing home Fev Rover in the Prix du Calvados in France.
Isabella Giles needs bottomless ground to be at her best, Alba Rose only won a small contest at Thirsk and Santosha got very upset in the preliminaries last time. It’s no surprise that superstar trainer Aidan O’Brien has found the best opportunity for his runner to try and triumph.
