Interesting to see how The Shunter fares on his return. Kendancer is becoming a little bit frustrating, but has a maiden hurdle in him. Meanwhile, Big King showed winning potential off the back of an absence at Bellewstown.
TULLYBEG may be the most solid option, although the market should be telling for this race.
13:30 Pat’s Pearl
She could be a massive price, and in a race as weak as this, it may be worth siding with PAT’S PEARL given she saves her best for this place. Granted she hasn’t been in top form this season, but the yard is going well and she could surprise a few.
Lusis Naturea, Kilmurry and Gotta Getaway are more obvious ones.
14:00 Fancy Foundations
Gordon Elliott holds the key, with recent bumper winner Mason City and FANCY FOUNDATIONS (NAP), the choice of Jack Kennedy.
Fancy Foundations won’t get many better opportunities than this and should be hard to beat. Captain Mc and Raleagh Flora are not out of it.
14:35 Flamin Aimee
FLAMIN AIMEE showed a good attitude in getting off the mark at Wexford, where she overturned a hotpot, and should be suited be the course and the trip.
The Sliding Rock is a danger as are recent course winners Knot In Time and Lighthouse Rose.
15:10 Get Smart
On the form that he showed when runner-up at Tipperary in July, GET SMART will be difficult to beat today, though his absence is a slight concern.
Muyam Spirit and Thisonesforollie are closely matched on their decent run at Thurles last November and are the main dangers. Lily Trotter can go well too.
15:45 Cushinstown Finest
Probably best to go with one of the less exposed runners here and CUSHINSTOWN FINEST fits the bill, as he has run with credit on his last few starts, including here.
Give Him Time can put his last poor run behind him, while Ask Cory and Double Windsor are players also.
16:20 Off Your Rocco
Method Madness was fancied for a couple of bumpers last summer but was disappointing. It will be interesting to see how he gets on here.
Deo Bellator had Phoenix Flower behind in a bumper here just over a fortnight ago, but there shouldn’t be much between them here given the latter was on debut that day.
But, OFF YOUR ROCCO won’t need to be above average to take this for top connections and is a hopeful selection in an open bumper.
