Horse Racing Tips: Our traders’ 3 best bets for Gulfstream on Sunday

The traders have turned the form book upside-down and inside-out looking for the very best bets on Sunday's card

17:34 Just For One Day – Evens

Joel Rosario is widely lauded as being one of the top jockeys in the States and has a riding style similar to the UK fans favourite Jamie Spencer, he makes his return from the west coast to ride Gulfstream and is looking for his first winner in ten rides back here in Florida and Just for One Day looks the one to give it to him. Trainer Christopher Clement boasts a 22% strike race for his turf runners and 20% when moving them from dirt to turf which gives me full confidence that Just For One Day will appreciate turf more than he did the dirt on debut.

18:05 Smell of Roses – 7/1

Hopefully after banging in his first winner of 2020 at Gulfstream Joel can make it a double. His mount  Smell of Roses gets the softest of soft leads here in the $25,000 claiming turf race. On Beyers speed figures Smell of Roses has three point to make up with the likely favourite Positive Phil but the pace should make up for that and have Joel smelling of roses this Sunday.

20:11 More Than Striking – 5/4

The drop from one-mile to six-and-a-half furlongs will look to be the winning difference for More Than Striking. He got tired last time up over a mile when clear in the lead but got caught close to home. Possibly the best jockey in the world Irad Ortiz takes the ride and at 24% strike rate we can expect him to get his fractions spot on.

A Treble on these three horses plays out at over 35/1
