It’s Derby day at Epsom as 14 runners bid to become the latest winner of the most prestigious race in Britain.
Auguste Rodin spearheads the Ballydoyle battalion as trainer Aidan O’Brien seeks a record-extending ninth victory in the Group 1 and the 2000 Guineas flop has been handed a plum draw in Stall 10.
It is packed full of storylines including Military Order bidding to follow in the hooves of big brother Adayar and Frankie Dettori seeking victory on Chester Vase winner Arrest in his final ride in the race.
There are also a couple of Group 3 crackers on the card courtesy of the Diomed Stakes and Princess Elizabeth Stakes featuring last season’s Falmouth Stakes heroine Prosperous Voyage.
If that wasn’t enough, the lucrative Aston Martin Dash Handicap promises to be a thriller as it’s the world’s fastest five furlongs due to the downhill nature of the track.
