I’m against the favourite Highland Avenue and by process of elimination, I’ve landed on IMPERIAL FIGHTER for Oisin Murphy and Andrew Balding. He was second in the Irish 2,000 Guineas last year behind Native Trail so I’m taking a chance at a big price.
Auguste Rodin was disappointing in the Guineas so I’m taking him on with SPREWELL. I was really impressed with him in the Leopardstown Derby trial, he came home really well. It would be a fairytale story who is on for a hat-trick after winning his last two.
I’m with PROSPEROUS VOYAGE for Frankie Dettori and Ralph Beckett. I’m not a massive Potapova fan and she was really poor in her comeback run last time out at Goodwood so I’m with Prosperous Voyage, who will be looking to improve on her comeback outing at Newmarket in May.
ANGLE LAND was impressive on his return at Goodwood in May over 5f and I like him to hit the frame at least once again.
VINTAGE CLAREST is also worth keeping an eye on. Oisin Murphy rides for Richard Fahey and getting back on good ground could spark a bit of life in him.
LOSE YOUR WAD appeals at a big price. He drops in grade into a handicap and he won well at Kempton in April. He finished fourth at Chester in May and he could be unexposed so I’ll take a chance on him.
Ryan Moore takes over the ride on CAIUS CHORISTER and I’m giving him a big chance. He has form on better ground and his style of running from stall three could see him go well.

HAYMAKER, won on his last start on quick ground at Windsor in May. The way he got home last time out made me think he’ll enjoy this.
