14:10 The Crooner
THE CROONER is the youngest in this field and is getting the hang of things over fences now, opening his account in gutsy fashion at Leicester last month. He ran at least as well in defeat when finishing runner-up over course and distance last time and remains handily treated, so looks the one to beat. Invincible Cave is in a good place at the moment and is next best.

14:40 High Up In The Air
This looks another good opportunity for HIGH UP IN THE AIR, who continues to go from strength to strength over fences. He showed only fair form over hurdles, but has improved in leaps and bounds since sent chasing, recording a four-timer over two miles at Sandown last time. There doesn’t appear to be too much pace on here and High Up In The Air may prove hard to peg back if taking up his usual front-running perch.
15:10 Brewin’upastorm
A potential match between McFabulous and BREWIN’UPASTORM, with narrow preference for the latter after having bolted up on his return to hurdling at Taunton last month. Paul Nicholls’ charge continues to impress and will provide stern opposition, but Brewin’upastorm is a classy operator on his day and edges the vote at the likely prices.
15:40 Brewers Project
BREWERS PROJECT was no match for a very progressive sort at Chepstow last time – who has since won again – but he still beat the rest comfortably, and he remains with potential, so is fancied to resume winning ways in what doesn’t look the strongest contest. Fantastikas takes a marked step back in trip but is an obvious contender on form, as is Manvers House, who makes his seasonal reappearance.

16:10 Grangeclare Glory
A competitive handicap with the narrow vote in favour of GRANGECLARE GLORY. There’s been plenty of promise to glean from both of his starts over hurdles so far this winter, finishing third in a strong-looking event at Doncaster last time, and it’s highly likely there is more to come now sent handicapping up in trip. Penny Mallow, who returns from a short break, and Blame The Game, look the likely dangers.
16:40 Samtegal
SAMTEGAL comfortably landed a similar event at Wincanton recently, having much more in hand than the half-length margin suggests, and faces a straightforward task in his bid to follow up. He’s an obvious selection ahead of Kashmir Peak, who performed with credit in this sphere last season.
17:10 Lavorante
An interesting finale with the vote in favour of LAVORANTE. Second on his sole start in points, he produced a promising first effort under Rules when a staying-on third in a Kempton bumper earlier this month and it’s feasible to think there is more to come. Newcomer Le Chiffre d’Or is also worth a look, as are Storm Dennis and Gentleman Valley, who both showed promise on their respective debuts.
