Throughout the group stages, I think Croatia have looked a bit of an ageing team. Scotland had the better chances against them but failed to convert and Czech Republic had the better of their group match as well.
I was hoping to be backing Spain but they look a bit too short. Even though they’ve dominated matches, there are serious questions about their forward line. You’d imagine Alvaro Morata would be dropped for this game after his dismal finishing in the group stage.
Morata has his strengths but clinical finishing is not one of them and it’s exactly what you need in these big tournaments.
We saw Ferran Torres score immediately after he came on against Slovakia and if Torres starts in that front line then Spain are a stronger team. Torres had an excellent record for Spain heading into the tournament and when he played for Manchester City this year, he was pretty good. So I’m going with Torres to Score Anytime.
