      Man City v Chelsea

Premier League match at The Etihad Stadium, Manchester
      TV: Sky Sports Main Event

I said a while back that Man City are more than capable of going on a run where they just don’t get caught and it feels like that’s what they’re on now.

City have got a habit where they give other teams a chance at the start of the season, and you think “oh, you know what, it’s going to be an open title race.”

And then they go on these mad runs and then are out of sight by March!

This winning streak has coincided with Kevin De Bruyne coming back and he’s really kicking into gear. Phil Foden looks full of running too.

It’s also important that John Stones is back. He obviously shores things up and if they’re conceding less than they were before Christmas it’s going to make them even harder to stop.

And I wouldn’t put it past into the Champions League again as well. I look round and Bayern Munich are struggling, Real Madrid are a threat, but PSG are not in the mix really, Liverpool aren’t in the competition after last season. It’s lined up for them to win it again.

I still think Liverpool have a chance to stop them in the league, but City have to be strongly favoured there too now.

We did see them lose Jack Grealish in mid-week and he will be a loss, but he hasn’t been playing that much recently and Jeremie Doku can come in and play amazingly too, so Chelsea can’t really take much encouragement from that for Saturday.

Mauricio Pochettino has made some big decisions recently with his team selections, leaving Raheem Sterling and Thiago Silva out at times, for instance.

He’s played the youngsters instead and I’d give him credit for that. They’ve picked up two wins after being beaten badly by Liverpool and Wolves, and that’s helped turned things around a bit but he’s still under massive pressure.

They’re still miles off it as a squad and as a team. They’re light years behind Man City, so you can’t expect them to get anything out of this at all.

And they’ve got the Carabao Cup final next weekend too. They’ve to throw all their eggs in that basket because they’re miles off it in the league.

It’s a huge opportunity to get something out of this season. A great day out at Wembley and a big win and a trophy in the bag – that’s the best I can hope for this year.

And the Palace game was slightly better. Conor Gallagher got back into it, but there were still frailties there and Palace aren’t exactly firing, are they?

      Man City to Win

I really can’t see them scoring, honestly. City will crush them on Saturday. I could see it finishing three or four-nil.

I know Chelsea been better recently and they’ve got a couple of results but I can’t see them getting much of a kick really.

It all points to a comfortable home win.

      Erling Haaland to Score

He’s back, he’s scoring. If City win as easily as I expect he should get at least one.

Kevin De Bruyne to Have 1+ Shots on Target

De Bruyne’s return ahs been a big part of this surge City are on.

There are so many attacking threats to pick from in their side but he always stands out – he’s probably the best player in the league – so a shot on target should be good here if City dominate.

Enzo Fernandez to be Shown a Card

And someone like Enzo Fernandez could end up getting frustrated if De Bruyne and Rodri are running the show in midfield.

He could be in the ref’s notebook if Chelsea get a chasing.

      Rodri to Commit 2+ Fouls

And City aren’t afraid of a few tactical fouls either.

Rodri’s always in the right spot to intervene when needed and a couple of fouls for him isn’t much to ask.
