We’re hurtling towards the business end of the 2023/24 Premier League season now and we’re gearing up for another full Premier League weekend fixture list. The action kicks off on Saturday with Everton facing the tricky trip to Manchester City at 12.30pm. There’s then no fewer than five 3pm games before Nottingham Forest host Newcastle at 5.30pm on the box on Saturday.

We’ve just the two games on Sunday and both are on Sky Sports with West Ham v Arsenal at 2pm and Manchester United’s interesting clash at Aston Villa headlining the day’s action at 4.30pm. And to round it all off we’re got Monday Night Football to enjoy once again as the under-pressure duo of Crystal Palace and Chelsea go at it in south London.

So, with so much action to get stuck in to, it’s only right that we bring in our resident tipster and Premier League predicting guru, Mark Lawrenson who’s champing at the bit to two-foot a full weekend’s top-flight action.

Saturday 12.30pm: Manchester City v Everton

TV: TNT Sports 1 TNT Sports Ultimate

Manchester City are flying and they basically just brushed off Brentford on Monday night. Everton had a good comeback with that last-minute draw with Tottenham at the weekend. I think this will be relatively straightforward for City, the only thing is that they’ve conceded one or two goals of late. All that means is that they’ve just gone out and scored more, though. Manchester City 3-0 Everton.

Saturday 3pm: Fulham v Bournemouth

Fulham need to win, they they threw it away right at the death in that 2-2 with Burnley. Bournemouth are just going along nicely. I’m expecting a home win but both will be absolutely fine in terms of staying up. Fulham 2-1 Bournemouth.

Saturday 3pm: Liverpool v Burnley

I’ll back Liverpool to bounce back here. They had a bad day at the office against Arsenal on Sunday and it was ironic that two of their best players, both world class players, got themselves in a muddle. I just don’t see Burnley keeping Liverpool out. Liverpool 3-0 Burnley.

Saturday 3pm: Luton v Sheffield United

Sheffield United got another battering last time out against Aston Villa and Luton were involved in that amazing 4-4 with Newcastle. It’s not good for either team but I fancy a draw in this one. Luton are looking really, really good but this will be like a Championship game in terms of quality. Luton 1-1 Sheffield United.

Saturday 3pm: Tottenham v Brighton

Brighton hammered Crystal Palace in the so-called M23 derby so they’ll be flying. This will be a really open, good game of football to watch. It’s about time Brighton won an away game and I fancy them to do just that here. Tottenham 1-2 Brighton.

Saturday 3pm: Wolves v Brentford

Wolves have done fab, they’re a good team and they had that great win at Chelsea. Brentford are just three points off the drop zone but they’ve got players coming back now. We’ve seen the difference that Ivan Toney makes and Yoane Wissa’s AFCON has finished so he might be about. Those two together could make such a difference. Wolves 1-2 Brentford.

Saturday 5.30pm: Nottingham Forest v Newcastle

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Newcastle had a really, really good result at Villa and followed it up with that 4-4 so they’re not short on goals! They’ve got players coming back from injury as well so I can see them getting stronger. The thing about Forest is that they played in the week so I fancy Newcastle to win away from home. Nottingham Forest 0-2 Newcastle.

Sunday 2pm: West Ham v Arsenal

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

This game sees Declan Rice going back to face West Ham and I actually thought The Hammers played quite well in that 3-0 loss against Manchester United, they created loads of chances. I’m thinking this could be a draw but I’ll just go for Arsenal to pip this as they’re on a good run again. West Ham 1-2 Arsenal.

Sunday 4.30pm: Aston Villa v Manchester United

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Manchester United have, just maybe, started to pick up a bit. There’s that picture of the three lads who scored against West Ham and they might be the ones to drive them forward. I think Manchester United might win this. Football’s always like this, we’ve been raving about Aston Villa all season and now they’re just having a slump and you wonder what’s happened to them. Aston Villa 1-2 Manchester United.

Monday 8pm: Crystal Palace v Chelsea

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Chelsea were really good against Aston Villa in the cup but Crystal Palace have been poor and the manager’s under pressure. You can never be too sure what you’re going to get with Chelsea but I think they will win this. Crystal Palace 0-2 Chelsea.
