Ferencvaros v Shamrock Rovers – Both Teams to Score

5.30pm – Europa League qualifier (RTE 2/ RTE Player)

Ferencvaros might sound familiar to you because they’re now commonplace in European group stages. You might never be able to spell it but my god, you know who I’m speaking of. They’ve got players from fourteen different nations in their first-team XI, and I’m not even sure Shamrock Rovers have players from fourteen different Dublin postcodes.

But that’s irrelevant because Rovers have shown on multiple occasions that their approach to mix it up to go long when pressed and slow build-up when sat in against provides results.
They have been slightly better away from home – as Rory Gaffney is the target who can run channels and hold up. They’ll have a tonne of space to run into here and I expect them to score.

FC Zurich v Hearts – Hearts and the Draw

6pm – Europa League qualifer (BBC Scotland/ iPlayer)

On the base of it, outside of Scotland’s big two, the sides are mid-table in most half-decent European countries when you do the comparison. And while FCZ are clearly the bigger name on the continent, it’s worth noting that their manager is under severe pressure having gone five straight without a win to open the domestic season.

Hearts fluctuate frequently and you generally don’t know what you’ll get from them from one season to the next, but they’re more equipped to spread the wealth in front of goal this year, welcoming Lawrence Shankland and Jorge Grant.

RFS v Linfield – Linfield and the Draw

6pm – Europa Conference League qualifier (Premier Sports)

This is definitely priced up with the foreign fear factor. Linfield’s performances this year warrant a touch more respect, and to follow the easiest formline you can check against this is their failure to beat Hibernians of Malta at home earlier in the campaign.

This is a side that didn’t even look like threatening to score against Shamrock Rovers in their qualifier earlier in the year. That alone should entice you to take the value. And for all that Riga might be the Paris of the Nordics, they’re hardly coming equipped with Mbappe, Neymar and Messi.

West Ham v Viborg – West Ham to Win to Nil

7.45pm – Europa Conference League qualifier (BT Sport)

Viborg finished seventh in the Danish top tier last year. They’ve currently conceded seven times through their first five games of this season.

Don’t overthink it, please.
