17:00 Poland vs Wales: Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: Premier Sports 1 & S4C

Much of the attention for this match has been overtaken by Poland’s Captain Robert Lewandowski announcing his desire to leave Bayern Munich this summer. Barcelona looks the most likely next port of call for the Pole but Chelsea and Liverpool are said to be interested too.

Poland have been in good form for the last eight months, losing just one of their last nine games in all competitions, winning six, drawing two and losing one. On home turf they’ve won three, drawn one and lost one but it must be pointed out here that two of those victories were against Albania and San Marino. They also beat Sweden in the WC Qualification Playoff, drew 1-1 with England and lost 1-2 to Hungary.

Wales will surely be focusing on their upcoming game against Scotland or Ukraine but with Belgium and Netherlands also playing in their group of League A matches they won’t want to get off to a losing start. Robert Page’s Dragons have lost just one of their last 10 games and of their last five have won three and drawn two. Away from home they’ve fared pretty decently with two wins, two draws and one loss, scoring five and conceding five too.

The Poles have scored 13 and conceded four over their last five at home. Their stronger home form should come to the fore here but they’ve only kept four clean sheets over their last 10 games played in Poland, one of which was against San Marino while the Welsh have netted in seven of their last eight overall games so we see Wales getting at least one here. Both Teams to Score and Overs has a great price here.

19:00 Australia vs Jordan: Both teams to score

Australia face Jordan in a warm-up game as preparation for taking on the UAE in their World Cup qualification game next Tuesday while Jordan will face Nepal in their opening Asian Cup Qualifiers the following week too. Graham Arnold’s side aren’t exactly in great shape, the Socceroos have won just one of their five most previous games, drawing two and losing two.

Jordan have won three and lost two of their last five fixtures and share the same record on their away jaunts, scoring six and conceding four. The sides have met three times since 2019 with the Aussies winning two and losing one.

With this game being played at a neutral ground, in Doha, Australia won’t have their usual home support to roar them on, which will surely help the Jordanians here seeing as they’d won seven of their last nine fixtures on home soil.

The Australians have scored seven over their last five and conceded six so with both scoring and conceding a fair amount of late the best bet here is in the Both Teams to Score market.

19:45 Scotland vs Ukraine: Both Teams to Score

TV: Sky Sports Main Event & Sky Sports Football

Scotland come into this as favourites but are unlikely to be priced down to odds-on before kickoff comes around here. Of course, all eyes will be on Ukraine as the original date had to be moved because of the on-going war. They have been in action, though, playing charity games throughout Europe over the last few months – although the squads were mostly made up of national league players as their regulars who ply their trades around Europe remained with their clubs.

The emotions though will run high here and the away side will be playing for more than their crest on their shirts once proceedings get underway at Hampden Park.

The hosts have been in the better form of the pair over the last eight months. Scotland have won six of their last eight games, drawing the other two while the visiting side have won two and drawn five of their last seven fixtures.

On home soil, Steve Clarke’s side have won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five, scoring seven and conceding five while the Ukranians have won two and drawn three (winning one in Extra Time), scoring nine and conceding five. With those records the best value here is in backing Both Teams To Score.
