For Monday’s football Acca we’ll be taking a look at the Russian Premier League to begin with then to Sweden’s Allsvenskan as it enters the middle part of the season and finally to Scotland for a Championship match where Kilmarnock and Ayr get their league campaigns off to a start. Let’s have a look then at the picks we’ve found.

18:00 Akhmat Grozny v Sochi: Both Teams to Score
The Russian Premier League got underway last week with contrasting beginnings for both sides. Akhmat won their opening match 1-2 away to Krylya Sovetov, while Sochi were 1-0 losers at Nizhny Novgorod. However, they were 2-4 winners against Keshla in their UEFA Conference League match mid-week.
There’s not much history between these sides, they’ve only met a total of four times in the league with, Sochi winning three and one ending level. Both Teams to Score only landed in one of those games, while Under 2.5 goals occurred in all four. Grozny’s recent home record in the league is quite good with three wins, one draw and one loss, scoring 11 and conceding six.
Sochi have won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five away league games – scoring six and conceding five. We’re expecting goals here then and hopefully, that barren run of Both Teams To Score to come to an end.
18:00 AIK v Halmstad: AIK to Win & Both Teams To Score
AIK are currently fifth in the league after 12 games on 21 points, while Halmstad are down in 12th on 15 points. AIK have won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five in the league, while at home they’re actually unbeaten over their last seven in the Allsvenskan – winning five and drawing two.
Halmstad are also unbeaten over their last seven overall games, however they’ve only won two of them. On their league travels they’ve won two of their last five, drawing one and losing two.
In previous head-to-head games in all competitions, AIK have won three with Halmstad taking one and the other match ending as a draw. Both Teams To Score landed in four of those games, while Over 2.5 also occurred in four. AIK have only kept two clean sheets over their last five at home, while Halmstad have scored in all but one of their last five on the road. We usually see plenty of action in this match, so we’re going with Both Teams To Score here and the home side should have enough to come out on top.
19:45 Kilmarnock v Ayr: Kilmarnock to Win & Over 1.5 Goals
Both sides get their Championship season off to a start here after a successful start to their respective seasons in the League Cup. Kilmarnock won two of their four games (winning one on penalties – they’d won another, but had fielded a suspended player and East Kilbride were awarded the win) and Ayr won three of their four.
The home side are odds-on favourites to win here even though the sides haven’t met at Rugby Park since 2014, no doubt Kilmarnock’s recent Premiership relegation being a major factor.
Killie have a decent amount of goals in them, scoring a total of 10 over their last five at home, but conceding 10 as well however. Ayr have only scored five over their five most recent away games, conceding eight. Over 2.5 goals was seen in four of Killie’s last five home games and came up in three of Ayr’s five away games, so you’d be tempted to go with that.
However, Ayr’s scoring record isn’t quite good enough to back that with confidence, so instead we’re going with Kilmarnock to Win and Over 1.5 Goals for better odds.
