Tottenham Hotspurs’ managerial search is set to replace The Simpsons as the longest-running comedy show in history.
Since parting ways with Jose Mourinho, Levy has offered the Spurs job to the likes of Antonio Conte, Paulo Fonseca and former England boss Mike Bassett.

And with club chairman Daniel Levy still working his way through a seemingly unending list of managerial candidates, the hilarity shows no signs of letting up just yet.
The hit comedy has earned rave reviews from critics and has just been renewed for another season.
Co-creator Fabio Paratici released a statement after the show’s renewal yesterday saying:
‘Everyone at Tottenham is thrilled the comedy will continue into next season’, the 48-year-old told Variety.
‘Rival fans of the show can expect plenty more twists and turns – and of course, big laughs’.
Paratici praised the performance of Daniel Levy and his ability to keep the show fresh.
‘Daniel’s offered the job to just about anyone that owns a bench coat or a copy of Football Manager on their laptop’.
‘He’s been knocked back so many times his new nickname around here is ‘the shot glass’.
However, Spurs’ Director of Football refused to be drawn on rumours that former cast member Christian Gross would be reprising his role for the upcoming season.

‘Christian’s a truly great comedian. Who’ll ever forget his hilarious train ticket sketch? It’s on a par with anything Monty Python ever did in my opinion’.
‘But you won’t get any spoilers out of me. You’ll just have to tune in to find out for yourself’.
Meanwhile, Simpsons creator Matt Groening heaped praise on the rival show and claims he regularly tunes in to get his daily fix of all things Spursy.
‘Myself and all the writers on The Simpsons religiously watch the Spurs show. Those guys crack me up, they really do’.
When asked if he’d ever consider collaborating on a Simpsons-Spurs crossover episode, Groening told Variety:
‘Who wouldn’t want to see Homer’s interview for the Spurs job?’
