With most of the big leagues calling time on their seasons over the weekend you’d be forgiven for thinking there’s not much football happening. But, over the summer, there’s plenty of football going to be played in the Scandinavian leagues and Ireland.

We’ll have some MLS and South American football too to keep us busy and there’s always value to be found. Granted the standard mightn’t be as high but then again watching Malmo or Shamrock Rovers is far more craic than say, West Brom or Elche.

Anyway, value is the name of the game, so let’s see what we’ve found for Monday night’s football.

17:30 Orebro v Malmo: Malmo To Win & Over 2.5 Goals

Reigning champions Malmo have gotten their season off to a great start with five wins, two draws and just one loss over their eight matches played so far. Orebro finished mid-table last season and have started pretty badly with just two wins over their seven matches. Worst of all they’ve only scored four goals, conceding an eye-watering 14. For their part, Malmo have scored 16, but have conceded 12.

Four of Orebro’s seven games this season have seen Over 2.5 goals. It has landed in six of Malmo’s eight games and over the last five meetings here, all have witnessed at least three goals. Malmo should extend their good run against a team low on confidence here.

19:00 Rosenburg v Molde: Both Teams To Score No Draw

Rosenburg currently lead the Eliteserien with eight points after four games, followed closely by Molde and Bodo/Glimt on seven. Rosenberg finished outside of the top three last season and will be eager to make amends for it this year. The away side don’t tend to get much luck in this fixture, that’s why their odds are so high. Of their last five visits here in the league, they’ve lost all five of them. Overs was seen in all of those games and Both Teams To Score landed in four.

These teams have started the season in good goal-scoring form though, Rosenberg have netted 11 to Molde’s nine over their four and three matches respectively. It’s hard not to see both getting at least one here and even with Molde’s terrible record at Rosenburg, both teams are good enough to beat the other. We’re unlikely to see a draw, as over their combined 60 league games last season, only nine ended level.

19:45 Shamrock Rovers v Sligo Rovers: Both Teams To Score

Shamrock Rovers tasted league defeat for the first time this season when they lost to Dundalk last Friday night. Sligo have won all three of their most recent games and this has seen the gap at the top between the teams fall to just two points.

Shamrock Rovers have won four and drawn two of their six home matches this season, scoring 11 and conceding five. Meanwhile, Sligo have won four and drawn one of their five on their league travels, scoring eight and conceding three.

Sligo haven’t won any of their last 10 visits to Rovers and most amazingly of all, they’ve only managed to score two goals over those 10 matches. With both teams starting the season in such flying form, it’s hard to see both not getting on the scoresheet here and while Sligo’s record away to Rovers is muck, we’re getting great odds here considering their form.

19:45 Kilmarnock v Dundee: Both Teams to Score

Kilmarnock are 1-2 down from the first leg and are facing Championship football if they cannot get a positive result here. They’re in pretty bad shape at the moment, they’ve won just one of their last five fixtures, drawing one and losing three. Dundee have won four of their last five, losing the other one.

The market is making them favorites here and they should be good for at least a goal or two. Of their last nine at home, they’ve only failed to score in two and netted two or more in six of those nine.

Dundee’s away scoring record is even better, with at least one goal in eight of their last nine on the road. It’s tough to call who could win this, so we’re going with goals instead.

17:30 Orebro v Malmo: Malmo To Win & Over 2.5 Goals
19:00 Rosenburg v Molde: Both Teams To Score No Draw
19:45 Shamrock Rovers v Sligo Rovers: Both Teams To Score
