Paris Saint-Germain are lining up a sensational players-plus-cash deal for in-form Manchester United loanee Jesse Lingard, Paddy Power News understands.
The French giants are willing to offer United both Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappé along with £100m for the 28-year-old hot prospect.
PSG are among a host of sides chasing the midfielder with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Brazil’s 1970 World Cup-winning team all monitoring the situation. Lingard burst onto the scene with West Ham since moving in January, doing eight silly goal celebrations in just nine games.
It’s understood the Warrington-born winger would be open to a move to the French capital, though his £2m-per-week wage demands may prove a stumbling block.
The 2020/21 Young Player of the Season nominee has also demanded the Eifel Tower be renamed the JLingz Spire.
However, any potential deal would hinge upon both Neymar and Mbappé agreeing to move to Old Trafford, although the opportunity to line up with Harry Maguire and Fred could prove too hard to resist.
Neymar’s former agent claims United would have to be willing to agree to some unconventional contract clauses should they wish to land the Brazilian.
“They would have to give him the entire month of March off each year to celebrate his sister’s birthday,” he told Paddy Power News.
“People will question Neymar’s loyalty but I can confirm he is always 100% committed to partying in Rio for weeks on end,” he added.
Like Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos and countless others before him, Mbappé is open to using United as a bargaining chip during negotiations on a new deal as he enters the final year of his contract at Parc des Princes.
Ironically, the 22-year-old forward admitted he’s been studying videos of Lingard ahead of tonight’s crunch Champions League quarter-final second leg against Bayern Munich.
“His movement is second-to-none,” the Frenchman told Paddy Power News. “The way he executes the ‘Milly Rock’, those hips, it’s an inspiration to any young player,” he added.
