Sports analytics company Opta have confirmed that a Granada nudist clocked up more minutes on the pitch last night than Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek.
Wild-haired local Olmo Garcia produced a magnificent tackle when he invaded the pitch six minutes into United’s Europa League semi-final clash with Granada.
An old-fashion streaker, Garcia displayed some lovely ball control then went on a mazy run evading challenges from several local police officers.
After the game, Opta revealed the Granada native managed more game time than Van de Beek who was afforded his customary 4-minute cameo near the end.
Stats also revealed Garcia completed more successful dribbles than Mason Greenwood and covered more distance than Paul Pogba.
‘It’s not the same without the fans’, Garcia told Paddy Power News.
‘I missed the roar of the crowd when a police officer in pursuit went head over arse.
‘They were perfect streaking conditions tonight. You ask any male streaker and he’ll tell you a warm evening is best’.
Meanwhile, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, a known admirer of Garcia, praised the Spaniard’s performance.
‘As a manager, there’s not a more worrying sight than a fit Olmo Garcia coming at your defence’, confessed the Norwegian.
‘He can really hurt you with those penetrating runs he makes. I’m glad my boys won’t have to face him at Old Trafford’.
In related news, Paddy Power News understands Jose Mourinho sent scouts to the Nuevo Los Cármenes Stadium to study Garcia’s movement against United’s defence ahead of his side’s clash with the Red Devils on Sunday.
A source close to the Portuguese told us: ‘Jose’s a big fan of Olmo and was keen to see how he fared against United’s back four’.
‘It was clear from the minute he entered the fray United’s defenders were frightened by his physicality. No one wanted to go man-for-man with him.
‘Don’t be surprised if we see Jose adopt similar tactics on Sunday and Harry Kane is running about completely starkers’.
Finally, Paddy Power News understands Piers Morgan and AFTV are jointly spearheading a ‘Wenger In’ campaign following Slavia Prague’s stoppage time equaliser against Arsenal last night.
