Paddy’s football ambassador Phil Thompson is expecting Jamie Vardy to be on the doubles as he welcomes in the New Year at Newcastle on Sunday.
He and his Leicester team mates head north looking for their first three points of the year and Thommo, speaking with the good guys and girls at PPTV, can’t see anything other than another Vardy finishing masterclass.
2.15pm: Newcastle v Leicester
You could the Newcastle players see coming off the pitch at Liverpool, a bit like the West Brom players, they were all thinking what a great result it’s been. But they would think this is a more winnable game against Leicester.
I don’t actually agree. It’s amazing now because Newcastle have not won in four Premier League games but they’re unbeaten in the last three at home so they’re not too bad there. It shows that they’re made of sterner stuff at St James’ Park.

But Leicester, away from home, they’ve lost just one in seven in all competitions at the moment. They’re better away from home and are unbeaten in three Premier League games.
THOMMO’S TIPS: I just think Leicester, away from home, they can do it. I really fancy them and I think they will make hay. I’m going for a 3-1 win for Leicester.
Jamie Vardy is the man to do the damage and with him taking penalties and things like that I would fancy Jamie Vardy to score 2 or More Goals in this one, I really do. Don’t go too heavy on it, guys! I would go for a Jamie Vardy double – he will score.
Thommo’s Tips
Leicester to win 3-1
Jamie Vardy to Score 2 or More Goals
These two selections in a Bet Builder double will give you odds of around 34/1 with Paddy Power.
