Football Tips: Feast on our fab 14/1 5-fold European acca on Sunday

Some huge games from across the continent to keep you entertained on Sunday.

Lionel Messi

We’d written previously about how Saturday was shaping up to be a monster day of football. We’re going to have to retract that comment. Sunday’s fixtures are even better.

Italy’s Serie A has two matches where four of last season’s Top 6 face off against each other when Lazio take on Inter and Juventus host Napoli. Bayern Munich welcome Hertha Berlin, we have France’s clash of the Olympics, with Lyon taking on Marseille and Barcelona are at home to Sevilla.

With so many favourites playing it can be a little tougher to find value but we’ve found a five-fold that could really top off a great weekend of football.

14:00 Lazio vs Inter: Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

Lazio have won one and lost one of their two Serie A matches so far, scoring three and conceding four. Inter have won both of theirs, scoring nine and conceding five.

Inter have gotten the better of Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico in three out of the last four meetings there, all four of those saw Over 2.5 goals occurring.

The market is favouring the away side here and they’ve certainly started the season with their scoring boots on.

Lazio rarely go a match without scoring, particularly at home and with these matches being real ding-dong affairs over the last two seasons we think we’ll see a few goals again. We’re backing BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals.

17:00 Bayern Munich vs Hertha Berlin: Both Teams to Score

This will be Bayern’s fifth match in 16 days and after the exertions they had to put themselves through to beat Dortmund 3-2 in the Super Cup midweek we may well see a very tired side here.

They were so tired at full time that the players couldn’t bring themselves to celebrate their second trophy of the season. Hertha have held Bayern to a draw here twice over their four most recent visits and they’ll be keen to push a tired Bayern here.

Bayern though, well, Bayern are Bayern and have more than enough talent in the squad to get a handful of goals here.

They don’t tend to keep as many Clean Sheets anymore and have conceded four over their five most recent home matches and Hertha have scored a whopping eight goals over both of their away matches this season. We’re going with Both Teams to Score here.

19:45 Juventus vs Napoli: Over 2.5 goals

Pretty decent odds here on The Old Lady taking the three points. This will largely be down to Juve failing to beat Roma midweek and Napoli winning both of their Serie A matches this season, scoring a very healthy eight goals while conceding none.

Napoli, though, have a terrible record at Juventus, winning just once over their 10 most recent visits (winning another in penalties).

Juventus-logo

Mix in Juventus’ defensive record at home, where they conceded just 0.89 goals per home match last season in the league and you can see why we like the look of Juve’s odds.

However, Napoli are a team bursting with goals and added even more firepower during the transfer window. Four out of the last five meetings in all competitions saw Over 2.5 Goals landing and we think that’s the way to go here again.

20:00 Lyon vs Marseille: Under 2.5 Goals

Lyon are pretty short odds here to beat their old rivals Marseille, no doubt this has much to do with them beating their south-western rivals in six out of their last seven meetings here. Only three of those matches saw Over 2.5 Goals and only four saw BTTS.

Lyon haven’t started the season brilliantly, they’ve won one, drawn three and lost one, scoring just six goals over their five matches.

Marseille have won two, drawn two and lost one, also scoring six. This doesn’t look like it’s going to be one for the ages.

Neither team has found their rhythm as of yet and we don’t see many goals here. Under 2.5 Goals is where the value is at.

20:00 Barcelona vs Sevilla: Barcelona to Win

Both teams come into this match having won both of their La Liga matches so far, Barca have scored seven and conceded none while Sevilla have scored four and conceded one.

Sevilla have a dreadful record at the Nou Camp and have lost all of their 10 most recent visits there in all competitions. That record ain’t changing here so we’re backing the Catalans to take the three points.
