Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson has strapped on the armband once more to step into the breach and deliver his verdict on this week’s Premier League games. We’ve got a Friday night feast to kick us off in the shape of Brentford v Watford.
HELLO FROM PADDY POWER NEWS!
The Bees started well but have stalled a little of late. Watford are up, down and all over the place under Claudio Ranieri and you never really know what to expect. With the potential for a great game, here’s Thommo with his Brentford v Watford tips.

I think this will be an interesting game. and there’s not going to be a lot in it.
One of the big things for Brentford is that Ivan Toney missed the game last week against Leeds due to Covid and it left them a little bit toothless. They drew that one and I’m not sure if he’s going to be out of isolation for this one.
After their wonderful start, Brentford have won only one of their last eight and that was against a poor Everton. They’ve conceded at least two goals in six of their last seven Premier League games and I think they’ll ship goals here too.
But I’m still backing Brentford to Win against Watford. The visitors have had the most defeats of anyone in the Premier League this season with 10 in 15 games.
They’re the only side still without a Premier League clean sheet so that’s telling me they will concede again so Both Teams To Score looks a sensible play.
They’ve lost five out of their last seven away games, have Watford, so, I’m going with Brentford to Win 2-1. If Ivan Toney doesn’t start I’m going for Marcus Forss to Score Anytime for The Bees.
