After a relatively handy 4-0 win for Chelsea against Malmo in the Champions League midweek, Norwich arrive in west London still without a win in the Premier League this season and just two points to their name with a nasty goal difference of -14. Will Norwich turn their fortunes around at Stamford Bridge?
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
Well, let’s face it, it’s unlikely, even without big Romelu Lukaku who Thomas Tuchel had intended on resting even before he got injured. Timo Werner (unfortunately for the Canaries) will also be absent with a hamstring injury. Billy Gilmour can’t play against his parent club so will be missing for the visitors. Todd Cantwell looks like he will be able to play in this one though.

Chelsea to Win
Sorry Norwich fans, it’s inevitable. After picking apart Malmo during the week, this side will be brimming with confidence, and have no shortage of options to step in for the injured Lukaku and Werner. The sheer depth of this Chelsea side is enough to leave the Canaries in worse condition than their time spent in the mines!
Mateo Kovacic Anytime Assist
Kovacic leads this Chelsea side in assists so far this season with three in seven starts. With a Norwich side that is struggling to adapt back to the Premier League, expect to see Chelsea pick apart this midfield and defence with the Croatian leading the charge laying passes on for Kai Havertz and company.
Over 3.5 Goals
Chelsea put four beyond two different keepers for Malmo midweek. The Swedes, overall, as much of a surprise as this might be, are a better side than Norwich. This game could very easily get out of hand as it did for Norwich against Man City. It won’t take a Tuchel masterclass for Chelsea to break down this Norwich side. We’re backing Over 3.5 Goals in this one.
Kai Havertz to Have 2 or More Shots on Target
With Werner and Lukaku out, the baton is passed to German starlet Havertz, and he won’t disappoint. I know he’s only had 10 shots this season, and I know that only two of those have been on target. But trust me, he’ll be Chelsea’s main vessel going forward which will breed chances on goal for him. Two shots on target for Cobra Kai snaking beyond Andrew Omobamidele and Grant Hanley looks a nifty selection.
Over 1.5 Cards
Norwich are yet to be involved in a game this season with less than two yellow cards dished out. With a huge 14 yellow cards combined seen in their last two games alone. Chelsea, while very disciplined, have seen no more than one yellow card in a Premier League game since playing Man City on September 25th. Over 1.5 Cards is the bet here.
Both Teams to Score? No
Chelsea, overall, are stout defensively, only conceding three goals in eight games this season, while scoring 18 of their own. Expect this game to be played very much in Norwich’s defensive third!. Basically, don’t expect to see Norwich adding to their whopping goals total of two on Saturday afternoon.
