19:00: QPR v Wycombe – QPR to Win

QPR can actually move up to ninth and give themselves an outside chance of reaching the play-offs if they manage to win their two games in hand, so it is imperative that they beat League One-bound Wycombe at Loftus Road on Tuesday night.

This is Rangers’ first game in hand and they should approach it with a degree of confidence following their morale-boosting win at Bristol at the weekend.

Mark Warburton’s side had lost two games on the bounce prior to that away win and looked in danger of undoing all their good work in February, when they collected 13 points from a possible 15.

They should have few problems against a Wycombe side that has been rooted to the foot of the Championship table for months.

Wycombe have lost three games in-a-row without scoring a goal and have picked up just four points from their last six games. It would be hugely surprising if they managed to come away with anything on Tuesday.

19:00: Peterborough v Hull – Draw

Peterborough and Hull meet at London Road in a top of the table clash on Tuesday night and there is precious little to separate the two sides.

League leaders Hull have won three games on the bounce following a damaging home defeat to Ipswich and the concession of a 102nd-minute equaliser at Doncaster.

The onus is on Hull on Tuesday despite finding themselves top of the league. The Tigers have played two games more than Peterborough and Lincoln and could do with putting three points between them and their nearest challenger.

Second-placed Peterborough, on the other hand, have picked up one point from their last six after winning six games on the spin previously.

They trail Hull on goal difference and could use this game as a platform for the rest of the season if they can avoid defeat.

Their home form suggests that they can. Peterborough have dropped just seven points at London Road all season and boast the best home record in the division by far. Hull, meanwhile, boast the third-best away record in the league, paving the way for a stalemate.

19:00: Bristol Rovers v Accrington Stanley – Accrington Stanley to Win

Promotion-chasing Stanley have an opportunity to break into the play-offs on Tuesday night and simply must beat relegation-threatened Bristol Rovers.

Stanley are currently seventh and will jump back into the top-six if they win and Portsmouth lose to Sunderland, so there is every opportunity that they will find themselves in pole position for the play-offs as we enter the business end of the season.

They snapped a four-game winless win with a win against Swindon at the weekend, which should have boosted their confidence after a poor run of results. Their form has dipped since the start of the season, but two wins on the bounce could catapult them back to the early-season heights.

Bristol Rovers, meanwhile, are now well and truly in a relegation dogfight. They have lost four of their last five games and were thumped 6-1 by Stanley when the sides met in February. Their prospects of picking up a crucial win on Tuesday are quite bleak.

19:45: Portsmouth v Sunderland – Sunderland to Win

Portsmouth v Sunderland
Sky Sports Football

Portsmouth’s promotion hopes have suffered a huge dent in recent weeks after a run of three games without a win. Most recently, they suffered a crushing 4-1 defeat at relegation-threatened Northampton, demonstrating just how much their form has dipped.

They desperately need a win on Tuesday night but face one of the in-form teams in the division in Sunderland. Sunderland have collected 16 points from their last 18 during their rapid rise up the League One table and now find themselves within touching distance of the automatic promotion places.

They may have lost their unbeaten away record at Shrewsbury earlier in the month but boast one of the best away records in the division. Portsmouth, meanwhile, have the 14th-best home record in League One, pointing to an away win and another crippling defeat for Portsmouth.
