Paddy’s Football Ambassador Phil Thompson has been getting his teeth into this week’s Monday Night Football as Crystal Palace head to Leeds in what will undoubtedly see a serious contrast in styles.
Thommo’s taken the time to serve up some top tips for the game with the good folk at PPTV for your consideration and he thinks The Eagles will enjoy their trip to Elland Road. So, without further ado, take it away, Thommo.
Monday 8pm: Leeds v Crystal Palace
There’s value in Crystal Palace and they are a good price. I just fancy them. Maybe the reason I fancy them is because of all the away wins we had in the midweek.
Eberechi Eze’s looking the business, Jordan Ayew too. If you watched that game against Newcastle, Crystal Palace were very good. I know they let in an early goal and Palace, in days gone by, maybe would have downed tools.

Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
But they found something and I thought they played very well and dominated the game against Newcastle and that’s the way I’m going for this one. Leeds did get beat against Everton but they put up a good fight – particularly the second half.
How they never got another goal and a result out of the game I don’t know. They will be free and attacking but they’ve lost their last two at home so it shows they’re venerable and that’s why I think this is going to be a good price.
THOMMO’S TIPS: I’m going for Palace to Win, I think it will be tight, I’m going for Palace to Win 2-1. I think Jordan Ayew will Score Anytime for Palace and I’m backing Patrick Bamford to Score Anytime and get one back for Leeds.
