The Sky Sports cameras are at Elland Road on Monday night for a clash between two teams that have found a good bit of form lately, in the form of Leeds United and Crystal Palace. Both these teams sit in mid-table level on 29 points, so with no relegation fears hanging over the sides and we should get a decent match.

Leeds will try and put a disappointing performance against Everton behind them and return to the form that saw them record impressive victories against Leicester and Newcastle. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace will be attempting to win their third league game on the spin.

Leeds to win and both teams to score

Scoring goals hasn’t been a problem for Marcelo Bielsa’s men all season, and they will fancy their chances against a Crystal Palace team that has a growing injury list. Star player, Wilfried Zaha, is the latest name to join the list of crocks that include several defenders.

Zaha limped off after 58 minutes of the Eagles recent victory over Newcastle with a hamstring injury, and it is a crushing blow to Palace as he was in outstanding form. Roy Hodgson’s counter-attacking strategy is serving them well lately, and they still have enough quality with the likes of Eze and Townsend in midfield to score goals.

But, The Whites are playing with great freedom and I fully expect them to win here, the value is in backing Leeds to win and both teams to score, remember the home side have not kept a clean sheet in their last five games in the league.

Stuart Dallas anytime goal scorer

Marcelo Bielsa has been shuffling the deck in recent weeks with the Leeds midfield, and one of the main beneficiaries of this tinkering has been Stuart Dallas. The versatile Northern Ireland international now finds himself playing in a central midfield role that has afforded him plenty of goal scoring opportunities.

Dallas has already scored four goals in the league this season, including one against Leicester two games back when Bielsa deployed him in the central midfield area. He looks great value to find the net again and I wouldn’t put anyone off the price available for Dallas to score the opening goal, but the Northern Irishman to score anytime is tremendous value.

Over 3.5 goals

As we’ve mentioned, both teams have no relegation worries hanging over them so that will hopefully lead to both teams going for it. They both have got questions marks over their defence.

Leeds struggle to keep clean sheets, and as we have seen throughout the season, Bielsa won’t call the dogs off if his team have a safe lead and instead keeps them driving forward looking for more goals. This in turn leaves them open at the back and The Eagles have been excellent counter-attacking lately and look to have unearthed a huge star in Eberechi Eze.

So, while we expect Leeds to feast on Crystal Palace’s banged up team, but they are also capable of presenting Palace with plenty of opportunities. The value in the goals markets is for there to be over 3.5, as all the signs point to this being a high-scoring match.
