On Tuesday night we’re taking a look at two matches from Spain’s La Liga where Valencia are at home to Sevilla and Valladolid face the daunting task of taking on Barcelona.
In Italy we’ll also be taking a look for value when Juventus take on Fiorentina at home – can the Old Lady make it seven wins in a row against the Florentines at home?
4.30pm – Valencia vs Sevilla: Both Teams to Score
Bit of an early kickoff here so don’t get caught out. Sevilla haven’t won this fixture since 2012. Valencia have won six out of their nine meetings in all competitions since then but the market is siding with the visitors here.
Why so? Well, Valencia are on a bad run. They’ve won just one of their last five home La Liga matches, drawing two and losing two. Sevilla’s away form isn’t great though, it must be pointed out. They’ve won both of their last two away league matches but lost two and drawn one prior to those.
Sevilla’s overall form is much better – they’ve won three out of their last five matches, drawing and losing one each while for Valencia they’ve drawn four and lost one of their last five overall league matches. Sevilla have the better form here but their record at Estadio de Mestalla is putting us off backing them.
Valencia are averaging 1.86 goals while Sevilla are scoring 1.17 on their travels. We’re going with Both Teams to Score here at some generous odds considering those stats.

7.45pm – Juventus vs Fiorentina: Juventus to Win to Nil
The odds on Juventus are very low here and justifiably so as they’ve not lost at home to Fiorentina in the league since 2008. There was one Coppa Italia loss in 2015 as well. Fiorentina don’t go down without a fight in these matches and the results have usually been along the lines of 2-1, 3-1 and 3-2 over the years but their goal-scoring record of late is terrible. They’ve scored just three Serie A goals over their five most recent matches and their away form in the league has seen them now go four matches without a single goal to their name.
Juventus aren’t keeping as many clean sheets at home this season but it’s still quite impressive as they’ve kept their opponents scoreless in half of their home matches so far this campaign. Against a Fiorentina side who are firing blanks of late they should be able to keep their sheet nice and clean here and take the three points without much hassle.

9.00pm – Valladolid vs Barcelona: BTTS No Draw
Barca’s away La Liga record is pretty bad and Valladolid will take some confidence from it. The Catalans have won just one of their last five on the road in the league but they have beaten the home side here in five out of six recent visits, keeping a clean sheet in four of those victories.
The home side though are in good goal-scoring form. They’ve scored seven over their last five on home soil and Barcelona have conceded at least one in four out of their last five on their La Liga jaunts.
While their record at the Estadio Jose Zorrilla is impressive over the last few years, their current form of scoring 1.0 and conceding 1.0 on the road against a team averaging 1.29 means we should be looking at a BTTS bet here.
Unfortunately the market is ahead of us here and the price has dropped quite a bit since opening but since we’re very unlikely to see a draw here – both teams have only seen one draw each other their five most recent home and away matches – we can squeeze some value out of an alternative bet. BTTS No Draw has far better odds.
