Messi: ‘Too many snakes on this thing’ after Garnacho Insta unfollow

You'd think eight Ballon d'Ors would give you a thicker skin

Lionel Messi has posted a longwinded rant on Instagram after unfollowing his Argentina compatriot Alejandro Garnacho.

The Inter Miami star even threatened to deactivate his account for good after accusing his followers of disloyalty.

It comes after Rio Ferdinand revealed that Messi unfollowed Garnacho on Instagram due to the Manchester United youngster’s preference for Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 36-year-old posted the rant along with a black and white image of actor Tom Hardy which included some quote about keeping your circle small.

‘Time for a clear out me thinks. Too many snakes on this thing’, wrote Messi.

‘Sick and tired of all the two-faced people who tell me I’m the GOAT then go and do the SIUUU celebration after scoring a worldie’.

‘Might delete this thing for good? Fed up hearing about everyone’s perfect lives when we all know the truth’.

‘Just gonna look after me and the kids and my big dog from now on’, added the forward, who ended the post with three hissing snake emojis.

Top of the comments section under the post was Messi’s former boss and mentor while at Barcelona, Pep Guardiola.

‘Just right hun. Hope I survive the cull’, wrote the Spaniard along with several praying hands.

‘If ya need anything, DM me chick XxX’, added Inter Miami president David Beckham.

‘Anyone looking any wax melts for Christmas, get your orders in now’, wrote unemployed former Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Meanwhile, Garnacho’s brother took to X, formerly Twitter, this morning to attack United legend Ferdinand.

‘Stop carrying tales back to Alejandro’s ex-GOAT, Pessi’.

‘He’s happy with Ronaldo as his GOAT now’.

‘Always too much to say @rioferdy5. You’re stealing a living more than Messi stole 3 of his 8 Ballon d’Or awards’.
