Huge result for Celtic

Frankfurt emerged from Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium with the Europa League trophy after a 5-4 penalty shootout victory over Rangers.

Gers midfielder Aaron Ramsey showed solidarity with his former Arsenal teammates following their midweek Champions League implosion by missing the decisive spot-kick.

Celtic chiefs have confirmed that discussions over a victory parade are well underway.

‘This is one of the proudest moments in the history of Celtic Football Club’, a spokesperson on behalf of the club told Paddy Power News.

‘Some would argue it’s a greater achievement than ten-in-a-row’.
