Sunday sees the World Championship semi-finals at the Ally Pally where James Wade and Michael Smith duke it out as they look to claim their first world title while two former champs, Peter Wright and Gary Anderson, faceoff for the other spot in Monday night’s decider.
Our darts trader Damien Fitzgerald gets stuck in and picks out his best bets for each match….
19:40 – James Wade (+2.5) v Michael Smith
All form so far this tournament would lead you to expect an easy win for Michael Smith here. He has been ultra-impressive in beating Welsh pair Jonny Clayton and Gerwyn Price while Wade hasn’t impressed despite easy victories over Martijn Kleermaker and Mervyn King in the last two rounds.
This will be a different game however and I believe it will go deep. Wade is likely to raise his game when needed and Smith may struggle to reach the heights in a slower paced game. I believe it could go down to the wire and Wade with a two-set start looks a good bet to me.

21:30 – Peter Wright Most 180s & Win v Gary Anderson
Wright has continued to get more impressive as the tournament has gone on and he produced a great performance when needed to beat Callan Rydz in the semi-final. I believe he can continue this form in this all Scottish clash and get the better of Gary Anderson. Wright has also hit 31 180s in the tournament, 10 more than Anderson, so I think the play here is Snakebite to hit the most 180s and win the match to send him through to his third World Championship final.
