Watch: The Hardy Boyz return to blow the roof off Wrestlemania

Matt and Jeff produced one of the comebacks in recent memory last night

Let’s face it Wrestlemania hardly ever disappoints (Roman Reigns aside) and last night was no different as the crowd were treated one of the most stunning returns in WWE history.

Having been out of the company for the better part of seven years, Matt and Jeff made their return on the Grandest Stage of Them All and the 75,000 in the crowd went bonkers as their famous music hit.

The Hardy Boyz shot back into the hearts of fans around the world in the middle of last year when Matt underwent a transition into his current ‘Broken’ Matt Hardy character while in rival wrestling promotion TNA. His feud with his Jeff, who he termed ‘Brother Nero’, was one of the most memorable of 2016 outside of the WWE.

After reuniting following that rivalry, Matt and Jeff won the TNA Tag Team Championships last October before leaving the company with the titles when their contracts expired in February this year.

Since then they beat The Young Bucks to win the Ring of Honour Tag Titles in March before dropping them back to the Bucks last Saturday. Last night their journey came full circle as they were shockingly announced as surprise participants in a Triple Threat Ladder Match for Raw’s tag belts at Wrestlemania – turning the match into a Fatal Four-way.

Those in attendance became unglued once more as Jeff divided off a 20 foot ladder to take out the team of Seamus (our favourite Irishman) and Cesaro, allowing Matt to capture the gold. You can watch the video of their return below, we promise it’s a WONDERFUL:
