It’s Day 3 at Wimbledon and the final chance for you to claim your free bet using Paddy Power’s Wimbledon multi offer. Once again, I will be choosing four selections to be made into an acca to qualify.

Novak Djokovic, Emma Raducanu, Andy Murray and Cameron Norries are all due to be in action on another busy day on the grass in south west London. Let’s get down to business!

Novak Djokovic v Thanasi Kokkikanis: Under 30.5 games

1:30pm

Novak Djokovic began his quest for a fourth successive Wimbledon title with a first round victory over Kwon Soon-Woo in his first Grand Slam appearance of the year, as the row over his vaccination status continues on in the background. How many more Djokovic will be able to play this year is currently unclear so he will be looking to make the most of his time at Wimbledon.

He comes up against Thanasi Kokkikanis, who although has tasted success on the doubles circuit this year alongside compatriot Nikos Kyrgios, is yet to leave his mark on the singles game. Soon-Woo took Djokovic to four sets in what was a spirited performance on Centre Court, but I think by this second round fixture any cobwebs that may have been present will have been well and truly dusted off.

Caroline Garcia v Emma Raducanu: Raducanu to win & both players to win a set

3:30pm

Emma Raducanu started her tournament off in fine fashion with a straight sets victory over Alison Van Uvytvank. In what has been an injury plagued year for the young Brit, she would’ve been pleased to wrap up the first round with relative ease. Its easy to forget that Radacanu is still only 19 years old, with the eyes of the nation all fixed on her since she was thrust into the limelight, last year.

Caroline Garcia is the woman standing in her way of a spot in the next round. Whilst Raducanu helped herself to a straight sets victory in the previous round, the French player’s route was not as straightforward, needing three sets to get past rookie Yuriko Miyazaki. I can’t see this match being as straightforward for Raducanu, with her recent injury troubles she may be lacking in match fitness and tire as the game goes on. I think she’ll pass this test, but not before dropping a set.

Cameron Norrie v Jaume Munar: Norrie to win 3-0

4pm

British No.1, Cameron Norrie eased through the first round with a straight sets victory over Pablo Andujar. In a confident performance, it was the weather that caused Norrie more problems than his opponent with the match being delayed on a couple of occasions.

The home favourite is looking to reach the second week of Wimbledon for the first time in his career and I can’t see Spaniard, Munar, causing him too much difficulty.

Andy Murray v John Isner: Over 4.5 sets

5:30pm

Andy Murray’s match up here against John Isner has all the makings of a very tight affair. Whilst Murray will be pleased with his battling victory over James Duckworth, there were definite signs of sluggishness. Eventually, the two-time Wimbledon champion’s class shone through but American, John Isner, will be a different test entirely.

It is no secret that Isner’s strength is in his serve – he hit 54 aces in his opening round victory over Enzo Couacaud. How well Murray copes with that part of Isner’s game will determine whether or not he makes it through. I can see them trading games in each set and wouldn’t be surprised to see this one go the distance.
