I’m a Celeb: Ricky Hatton tops line-up rumour odds with ‘The King’ priced up to head down Under

How good would Eric Cantona be on I'm a Celeb?

It might be somewhat to do with a bit of boredom in Power Tower but we’ve just priced up who may head down under for the next series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. And, come on, who have we made favourite? Drum roll, please. None other than former world champion boxer Ricky Hatton who’s our 1/4 favourite to be a contestant – which represents an 80% chance – in case you’re not great with the maths, like me.

In fairness, we do love Ricky. He was on our Boat Party for the World Cup. I’m going to get sad now, thinking of football and big sporting events.

Anyway, YouTuber and Christmas Number One star ‘LadBaby’, or Mark Ian Hoyle, is also short-priced at 3/10 to head down under, with former footballer Paul Merson in at 1/3. However, ‘The King’ Eric Cantona is said to be top of ITV bosses’ wish lists in terms of dream contestants, and the bookies make him a 25/1 chance of being on the show.

How good would he be??

Also in the running is Richard Madeley (4/1), after he appeared on reality show ‘The Circle’ as a surprise contestant, the same price as an appearance from former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson.

Several Love Island stars have been linked with a stint on the show, from Wes Nelson (5/1), Olivia Attwood (7/1) and Maura Higgins (8/1) to Megan Barton-Hanson (10/1). While former speaker John Bercow, and former Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage are both priced at 40/1 to make shock appearances.

Last year’s series was pretty boring, wasn’t it? Personally, if there’s any way to spice it up, it would be with the inclusion of Eric Cantona, though that could well be wishful thinking – the chances are they’ll have to settle for LadBaby instead.
