The world’s best snooker players are set to descend on the Ally Pally in a bid to land one of the most prestigious prizes in the game.
The Masters forms one leg of the Triple Crown, with the World Championship and UK Championship, as the top 16 in the world rankings are invited to chalk up their cues and pot their way to glory.
Ronnie O’Sullivan is the reigning champion after beating Ali Carter in last year’s final to claim the crown for a record-extending eighth time, but he is not defending his title after withdrawing on medical grounds.
