World Snooker Championship 2024 odds: Who is the favourite to win at the Crucible?

Paddy's ready for the action!

Ronnie O'Sullivan Snooker

The World Snooker Championships returns to the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield as the best players compete for the sport’s biggest prize.

Luca Brecel is the reigning champion having won his first-ever triple crown event by defeating Mark Selby 18-15 in last year’s final.

He will face tough competition to defend, with his biggest threat likely coming from the greatest, Ronnie O’Sullivan, who hopes to win a record-breaking eighth world title.

You can find all the World Snooker Championship odds on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise, here’s everything you need to know about all the favourites.

World Snooker Championship favourites

Ronnie O’Sullivan

The Rocket has already won the first two triple crown events this season – the UK Championship and the Masters – and is widely expected to add a third.

If he wins in Sheffield not only will he break the record for the most World Championships but he will become just the fourth player to win all three major events in a single season.

Judd Trump

The Ace In The Pack has won several ranking titles this season and is a four-time triple crown event winner, including a triumph at the 2019 World Championship.

He knows what it takes to win on the big stage and his current form means he’s likely to be a big threat.

Mark Selby Snooker

Mark Selby

Last year’s runner-up will be hoping to go one better and add a fifth World Championship title to his name.

Due to O’Sullivan’s success, The Jester from Leicester is often overlooked despite easily being among the best to ever pick up a cue.

Mark Allen

The furthest the Northern Irishman has ever got at the Crucible is the semi-finals, appearing in 2009 and last year where he lost 17-15 in a thrilling encounter with Selby.

He won the Players Championship in February, which will give him confidence heading to Sheffield.

Mark Williams

The Welsh Potting Machine and three-time World Champion brings a huge amount of experience to the table.

He last won the big one back in 2018 and became the second-oldest ranking title winner with his victory at the Tour Championship earlier this month.
