Christmas has come early for one lucky Paddy Power punter as they became an instant millionaire on Tuesday night by hauling in a mega £1.7 MILLION payout from just a 60p spin.
Yes, you did read that correctly.
The gargantuan win came on Paddy’s aptly-named Bonanza Megapays and the total win totted up to £1,710,466.42 – don’t forget the 42p!

The grandmother from Norfolk, England, goes in right near the top of Paddy’s Punting hall of fame after this win for the ages and we doff out collective hat.
Instead of socks and naff mugs this Xmas it’s whatever you want with all the trimmings for one very happy house in East Anglia.
The newly-confirmed millionaire, who wishes to remain anonymous, told Paddy Power Games: “I was sitting there having a little play as I do most evenings. I take turns playing different games.
NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?
“I’ve had some luck before, but never anything like this. I won the jackpot and I just sat there watching the numbers climb from £120 to £1,400 to £50,000 and I just shouted, ‘Oh my God!’.
It didn’t stop until it got to £1.7m!
“I had to call my husband over and ask him to read the numbers because I couldn’t believe my own eyes.”
In fact, it took a total of 34 seconds for the counter to climb to the eventual jackpot figure reached by the Tesco worker, who admitted she’s still in shock having won the lifechanging sum.
While she has made no immediate plans for her windfall beyond making sure her family have a very merry Christmas, the grandmother of seven shared: “Both myself and my husband work part-time so we’ve decided to take early retirement.”
We’re absolutely thrilled for our winner and we’re delighted that it’s meant both Christmas and retirement is coming early for this couple.
Not a bad result for the price of two plastic bags in Tesco!
