The golden rule of Hollywood films is that sequels are rarely better than the originals – so it’s probably a good thing that Joe Biden dropped out of the rematch with Donald Trump in the next US Presidential Election.
Biden, the 46th and current President of the United States of America, was set to contest the vote, but pulled out of the race in favour of Vice President Kamala Harris after a host of (quite funny) gaffes – including introducing Ukraine leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy as President Putin at a press conference – suggested he wasn’t quite up to another campaign.
Trump, who was beaten by Biden in the last US Presidential Election in 2020, is back and bidding to return to Washington after four chaotic and controversial years as the 45th President… and that’s putting it lightly. He recently ‘dodged death’ after an assassination attempt in which he emerged with a grazed ear.

US Presidential Election candidates
The Democrats faced an unprecedented situation of being without a candidate little more than three months out from polling day after Joe Biden opted to stand aside, but Vice President Kamala Harris has stepped up to the plate after a string of significant endorsements.
Donald Trump secured the Republican Party nomination, despite principal rival Nikki Haley winning a couple of primaries along the way. He was rubber-stamped by the GOP as their candidate at their National Convention just days after being shot in the ear.
There are also a number of minor party and independent candidates on the ballot but, quite frankly, they stand absolutely no chance in a nation that votes red or blue.
