UK General Election: Latest odds on Rishi Sunak losing Richmond and Northallerton constituency

Oh dear, Rishi...

If the latest opinion polls are correct then the Conservatives are facing wipeout in the General Election – and Rishi Sunak could be in danger of losing his seat!

The Tory leader will need to win the constituency of Richmond and Northallerton on Thursday, July 4 if he is to stand any chance of keeping his belongings at 10 Downing Street, but he is scrapping with 12 political rivals including Count Binface in his bid to be returned as an MP.

Richmond and Northallerton is technically a new constituency that has been created as part of last year’s boundary review, although it is effectively the successor to Sunak’s former Richmond (Yorks) seat, which he won with a 27,210 majority in 2019.

If Sunak were to suffer a staggering defeat then his political career would almost certainly be over and he’d take his place in history as a pub quiz answer by being the first sitting PM to lose their seat.
