The final NFL game of the wildcard weekend is Monday night when the Los Angeles Rams will play the Minnesota Vikings.
However, the game will not occur in Los Angeles after devastating fires swept across the state. Instead, it has been moved to State Farm Stadium in Arizona, the Cardinals’ home.
Of course, when considering this game, you must simultaneously consider unrelated events to sport and try to remove them from your planning.
The Rams and their players are professional athletes and will do their utmost to move things to one side for the game and give it their all on the field.
This game is a repeat match-up from Week 8, where the Rams defeated the Vikings 30-20. After that game, the Vikings went on a run that put them in contention for the No. 1 seed in the NFC before they lost in the season’s final week at the Detroit Lions.
On top of that, there is also a clash between two peas from the same pod, Sean McVay and his former protege, Kevin O’Connell. Read on to find out what we’re tipping.

Kyren Williams – Over 81.5 rushing yards
What Rams offense is going to turn up? The one that went toe-to-toe with Buffalo? Or the one that couldn’t get anything going against San Francisco, Arizona and the Jets in a genuinely inspiring stretch? The fact that we couldn’t decide is one of the reasons we stayed away from a bet on the Total Points or Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Kyren Williams had two big games before the Cardinals match in which he rushed for 97 yards. He’s since been given the week off for the season’s final game against the Seahawks, so he should be fresh and ready to cause some damage.
Puka Nacua – Over 91.5 receiving yards
Puka Nacua seems like a solid bet in this one. He went massive against the Cardinals, AND (most importantly) was given the week off for the season’s final game against the Seahawks.
Whereas the Vikings defense just got beaten up by the Lions in a bruising encounter, Nacua got a week off and should be fresh and ready. He hauled in 106 yards in his previous two and will like his chances here.
Justin Jefferson – Over 90.5 receiving yards
The Rams are a fun, young defense, particularly on the front, where Braden Fiske and Jared Verse have been revelations as rookies. But as you go further back, it all gets a little messier and less of a sure thing.
That should spell good news for Jefferson, who was uncharacteristically quiet against Amik Robertson when the Vikings went down in Detroit. Expect O’Connell and Sam Darnold to lean heavily on Jefferson, particularly early, to try and get the offense back in rhythm.
Like Nacua and Williams, Jefferson had a monster game last time in this match-up, going for 115 yards.
Jalen Nailor – Over 18.5 receiving yards
We’re getting a little frisky for the builder’s last bet. Nailor had two massive games against Green Bay and Detroit, and suddenly, he has become a bit of an X-factor.
Despite going for 134 yards in his past two games, his over/under is still just 18.5 yards, which shows how uncertain the markets are about how O’Connell will use him.
It feels like this is another game where Nailor is suddenly going to rock up for a couple of big plays out of nowhere.
