Sunday 11.30pm: Kansas City Chiefs @ Buffalo Bills
NFL Divisional Round match at Highmark Stadium

Sunday night’s AFC Divisional matchup of the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs reignites one of the most fascinating rivalries in the NFL. Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes are making a bit of a habit of meeting in the playoffs but this is the first time they won’t be playing in Arrowhead.

In fact, this will be Patrick Mahomes’ first playoff game on the road. So it means we’re off to snowy Buffalo to see who’ll compete in the AFC Championship game and take one step closer to the Superbowl. We have a bet builder set up for Sunday’s titanic clash.

Kansas City to Win

Now while there’s a lot on the line Sunday for both teams, there’s even more on the line for Patrick Mahomes. Dubbed the heir to Tom Brady’s throne, Mahomes will want to silence critics by winning as an underdog on the road. The Chiefs haven’t had the smoothest of seasons but they still won their division, and are only one step away from their annual AFC championship game appearance.

Where the offence in years past has been their saviour, it’s the defence that has carried them this season. That being said, when you have Mahomes anything is possible and this Bills defence is hurt.

Those gaps in the defence rose its ugly head, when Mason Rudolph and the Steelers, were allowed back into their wildcard matchup. You can do that against Rudolph and get away with it, but not the best quarterback in the league. I’m taking the Chiefs to Win, sending Mahomes to yet another AFC Championship game.

Isiah Pacheco Any Time Touchdown Scorer

Isiah Pacheco has solidified himself as the number-one back in Kansas City this season and he’s been one of the very few standout players in a Chiefs offence that has spluttered throughout the year. With the KC receivers doing very little to help out Mahomes this year, they’ve been forced to rely heavily on their run game.

In his last five games, he’s racked up 410 yards on the ground and five touchdowns. He’s the main man for the Chiefs in the redzone lately and I fancy Pacheco’s chances of going in for six on Sunday.

Patrick Mahomes Over 26.5 Rushing Yards

One of the most effective QB scramblers in the game, Mahomes will need to use his feet again on Sunday. The Chiefs wide receivers and their mishaps have been very frustrating for Mahomes this season. Now this is a win-or-go-home situation.

Where in the regular season Mahomes might give his receiver the benefit of the doubt on a crucial 3rd down throw, the Texas native might take matters into his own feet. He had 41 yards last week against the Dolphins and he could go for something similar here so take the Overs on Mahomes Rushing Yards.

Travis Kelce over 61.5 receiving yards

Mahomes will, however, have to trust his receivers at some stage and there’s nobody on the team he’d trust more than big number 87. Travis Kelce and Mahomes has always been a love story since Mahomes took the reins of the offence.

Kelce hasn’t had the best of seasons and has faced a lot of criticism in media circles but I’d expect him to shake it off now it’s crunch time. Last week Steelers tight-end Pat Freiermuth went for 76 yards, with Buffalo struggling to defend the middle of the field so expect Kelce to find a lot of blank space in the Bills defence with Over 61.5 Receiving Yards.

Dalton Kincaid over 40.5 receiving yards

Dalton Kincaid has been a revelation for the Buffalo Bills in his first season. The tight-end out of Utah was the Bills first first-round draft selection and he’s paid them back in spades.

Looking at Josh Allen’s options on Sunday night, they’ll be limited. With Gabe Davis out, that leaves Stefon Diggs as their unquestioned WR option. However, he’ll be going up against one of the most underrated cornerbacks in the league, L’Jarius Sneed.

He has locked down every WR1 he’s faced this season, meaning Allen will have to look elsewhere. That’ll be to Kincaid, who’s hit this line in each of his last three games. Take his Overs.
