The NFL Wild Card Round is here and we’re set for a weekend of big games. Here we are going to create a tasty Multi-Match Bet Builder across two of Sunday’s matchups, the Packers trip to AT&T Stadium to face the Cowboys and the narrative fuelled Rams at Lions, which sees Matt Stafford finally play a playoff game in Detroit and Jared Goff face his former mentor in Sean McVay.

Green Bay Packers @ Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys -7

I’ve been really impressed with Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers in the second half of the season but I feel this year’s playoffs has come a season early for Love. He’s been consistently good but this Cowboys defense is solid and will cause issues.

I believe Luck will have some luck against them which could turn this into a shootout but the Cowboys haven’t lost at AT&T Stadium all season, making it 16 in a row. Not only that but they’ve won six of their eight home games this year by a margin of 20 or more points. I think the Cowboys’ offense will just be too strong for the Packers and they should cover the -7 as they progress to the Divisional Round.

CeeDee Lamb to Score Anytime

CeeDee Lamb feels like a gimme at this point. Since the bye week in Week Seven we’ve seen Lamb ball out. He’s scored 11 touchdowns in the 11 games since then and has only put up a blank twice.

He’s the main man on the Cowboys’ offense and despite teams knowing that they’re unable to stop him. He’s led the NFL in receptions has had double digit targets in each of the past six weeks. Expect Dak Prescott to feed him and for Lamb to find the endzone.

Los Angeles Rams @ Detroit Lions

LA Rams to Win

The Lions are three point favourites at home but I think we’ll see Sean McVay’s Rams team leave with the victory. The Rams have won four on the spin, the second longest streak in the NFL and finished the season strong in a very good division.

Matthew Stafford spent the bulk of his career playing in Detroit so he won’t get phased here, while Rams’ HC Sean McVay made the decision to move on from Jared Goff, who now quarterbacks the Lions. If anyone knows Goff’s weaknesses then it’s McVay.

The Rams are ranked seventh in offensive DVOA, two spots behind the Lions but I think with injuries to Kyren Williams and Cooper Kupp earlier in the season we’re yet to see this offense really click and I feel their ceiling is higher than that of the Lions. I also think the Lions’ defense, and in particular their secondary is a serious problem and one which will cost them this game.

Cooper Kupp to Score Anytime

Only five teams have given up more passing yards than the Lions and they’ve seemingly got worse as the season had gone. They’re regularly getting torched by opposition quarterbacks and Matthew Stafford will relish the opportunity to face one of the worst secondaries in the NFL.

Cooper Kupp has had a poor year by his own great standards as he recovered from injury but he’s slowly been getting his mojo back and comes into this with four touchdowns in his past five games. We’ve seen his chemistry with Stafford since Stafford arrived from Detroit and that trust his QB has in him should return in plenty of targets and a touchdown on Sunday night.

Kyren Williams Under 82.5 Rushing Yards

Make no mistake Kyren Williams have played lights out this season and has been the NFL’s breakout running back but this is a hard matchup for him. The Lions have allowed the second fewest amount of rushing yards in the league this season, trailing just the Bears.

I expect that McVay will look to use Williams in the passing game more to get th ball into his playmakers hands because it’ll be hard going on the ground. With that in mind I’m taking the Under on Williams’ rushing yard line of 82.5.
