There are four games for us in the NFL’s late slate on Sunday night including two divisional games with the Seattle Seahawks facing the San Francisco 49ers and the Denver Broncos at the LA Chargers, plus we also have the Minnesota Vikings against the LA Raiders. However, unless you’re a fan of any of those teams then probably, like me, you’re focused on the Buffalo Bills at Kansas Chiefs, which is set to be a huge game.

Let’s get stuck into the best bets for the NFL late slate.

Minnesota Vikings @ Las Vegas Raiders (9:05pm)

    Minnesota Vikings to Win

Both the Vikings and Raiders come into this on the back of losing two games but I think it’s the Vikings who are in a better position to turn it around. Firstly, the Raiders have nothing to play for, their season is basically done, while the Vikings will still believe they can make the playoffs.

Then there’s the return of Justin Jefferson. He’s the NFL’s best wideout and his return from injury will be a huge boost for the team. I expect him to hit the ground running but even if he is still suffering from lingering impact from the injury then his presence alone will be enough to act as a decoy and get the likes of Jordan Addison more room to work.

        Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers (9:05pm)

Christian McCaffrey Over 81.5 Rushing Yards

With 17 touchdowns already this has been an incredible season for Christian McCaffrey but since the bye week he’s been a monster with 100+ scrimmage yards in each game. CMC’s rushing yard total for this game against the Seahawks sits at 81.5 and that’s a number he’s exceeded three of the past four weeks.

With the Seahawks allowing an average of 128 rushing yards to running backs per game I expect McCaffrey to be dominant on the ground and for the 49ers to use him and his game-breaking ability the best that they can.

Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs

        Bills to Win

Both the Bills and Chiefs come into this on the back of 2-3 records in their past five games but for me it’s the Bills who are most well equipped to get out of their rut.

They’ve not lost a game this season by more than six points, something the Chiefs cannot say and in recent weeks the Bills have looked dominant at points.

They’ve scored an average of 27.3 points per game on offense, that’s nearly five points more than the Chiefs who are really struggling at this point in time. I never like to bet against Patrick Mahomes but it feels that the Bills, even as slight underdogs, are the value play here.

          Khalil Shakir Over 2.5 Receptions

Khalil Shakir has become a key weapon for the Bills over the past couple of months. In the first six weeks he has just four receptions on five targets but since then he’s been involved far more. With 22 receptions on 25 in the six games since.

His reception line sits at 2.5 here, a number he’s covered in five of his past six, and I believe he will again. The return of tightend Dawson Knox will add another pass catcher to Josh Allen’s arsenal but I believe that Shakir has carved out too much of a role to see his usage cut that much.

Denver Broncos @ Los Angeles Chargers

Courtland Sutton Over 58.5 Receiving Yards

Only one team in the NFL allows more passing yards than the LA Chargers who simply can’t stop the pass. That should put Bronco’s WR, Courtland Sutton, in a good position to have a big Sunday. His receiving yard line sits at 58.5 yards, a number he’s covered in each of his past three games.

Sutton is Russell Wilson’s favorite target and should see a lot of work here against a Chargers’ defense who are frankly awful. Expect him to feast and smash his yardage total.
