We’ve only got three games in the late slate this week but don’t worry there’s an absolute monster matchup in there. The Panthers face the Bucs and the Browns face the Rams but let’s be honest, we are all looking forward to the 49ers at the Eagles. They’re the two best teams in the NFC and seeing them battle it out could be an early preview for this year’s NFC Championship game. Let’s get stuck in to the best bets for the NFL late slate.

Bryce Young Over 198.5 Passing Yards
Let’s be totally honest, so far this season Bryce Young has really struggled. A large part of that, in my view at least, is down to the team around him and is just being made to look worse by the fact CJ Stroud got drafted one spot behind him at second overall.
This could be a bounce back week for Young and I’m backing him to pass for over 198.5 yards against the Bucs. It’s a number he’s only exceeded four times all season but the Bucs have allowed an average of 267.8 passing yards against them per game. Even if Young doesn’t play brilliantly he should have a chance of covering his passing yards line given the standard of the Bucs’ defense all season.
Cleveland Browns @ Los Angeles Rams (9:25pm)
Los Angeles Rams to win
Both the Browns and Rams can feel unlucky this season. Even though he is now back the injury to Matt Stafford has probably ruined the chances of the Rams getting a wildcard spot and the Browns have had the best defense in the NFL but it’s amounted to nothing because of their offense and poor QB play.

The Browns are now on to their fourth QB of the season with veteran Joe Flacco starting against the Rams. We know his ceiling in 2023 and it isn’t going to be good enough to beat the Rams even with the great Browns defense causing Stafford problems. The Rams have just about enough, particularly on offense to ensure they win.
San Francisco 49ers @ Philadelphia Eagles (9:25pm)
San Francisco 49ers to win
Taking the slightly easier way out here and backing the 49ers to win on the moneyline rather than engaging with the spread. The 49ers may only have an 8-3 record in comparison with the Eagles 10-1 record but for me they are by far the better team.
The Eagles defense, especially against the pass is poor and not as good as previous seasons. They’ve been very fortunate to get that 10-1 record and in part it’s down to luck, mental strength and the ‘tush push’. I think the 49ers are too smart offensively to lose this game and will find ways to outscore the Eagles.
AJ Brown Over 5.5 Receptions
Despite being confident in a 49ers win I do think it’s likely we see a big game from Eagles wideout AJ Brown. Only the Bears have allowed fewer rushing yards than the Niners, so we’ll see Jalen Hurts attack them through the air, which means AJ Brown should be the man to benefit.
His reception line sits at 5.5 and we’ll take the Over. He’s had at least six targets in 10 of 11 games this season and despite hauling in just six of 13 targets in the past two weeks it’s clear that he’s Hurts’ main man. He will be force fed here and should hit the Over on receptions, as well as yards if you want to beef up this Bet Builder even more.
AJ Brown Anytime Touchdown
Speaking of AJ Brown related ways to beef up the Bet Builder, we’re also going to bet on the the former Ole Miss man to find the endzone. He’s scored seven touchdowns in 11 games and given that it’s likely we’re going to see the Eagles pass a lot we have to assume that he’s got an increased chance of scoring this week.
