NFL Tips: McCaffrey scores again for 49ers in this 19/1 Sunday Multi-Match Bet Builder

The Jaguars host the 49ers in Week 10, and Christian McCaffrey should break a long-standing NFL record during the game, says our tipster Ben Steele.

San Francisco 49ers @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Christian McCaffrey Anytime Touchdown

The San Francisco 49ers have had a real Jekyll and Hyde season so far, scoring 30+ points in five straight games on their way to a 5-0 start, before scoring just 17 in each of their next three games to go into their bye week 5-3. One man, however, who has remained at a consistently high level is their star man – Christian McCaffrey.

The Niners running back comes into Sunday in Jacksonville with a chance to break a 59-year-old NFL record for consecutive games with touchdown. Hall of Famer Lenny Moore set the record in 1964 when he scored in his 17th straight game and McCaffrey who also has scored seven of San Francisco’s last eight touchdowns can top that mark if he finds the endzone. The Jaguars are a good team against the run but I’d be surprised if they can keep McCaffrey out.

Travis Etienne Anytime Touchdown

While one running back chases history over on the other sideline Jacksonville’s lead rusher will be looking to maintain his own superb form. Travis Etienne has really hit his stride in recent weeks, scoring seven touchdowns in his last four games helping the Jags into a comfortable first place in the AFC South.

With quarterback Trevor Lawrence in somewhat shaky form during that run, although he was excellent last time out against Pittsburgh, Etienne has been the leader on offence for a Jags team hoping to establish themselves as a perennial playoff outfit. Look for Etienne to feature heavily in what could be a close fought game.

Cleveland Browns @ Baltimore Ravens

Gus Edwards Anytime Touchdown

Another game that will centre around running backs. All the talk in Baltimore this week has been about rookie Keaton Mitchell who exploded onto the scene with 138 yards and a touchdown in a demolition of the Seahawks last weekend.

While Mitchell is explosive, and could feature more heavily this week, the main man in the Baltimore backfield is Gus Edwards. Playing in his sixth NFL season, Edwards has scored six times in the last three games and has become the go to guy in the redzone. The more ambitious punter might swap Mitchell for Edwards in this Bet Builder (and up the odds to 51/1) but I’m putting my faith in “Gus the Bus” to keep the good times rolling.

Houston Texans @ Cincinnati Bengals

Total Points: Over 46.5

While two of their AFC North rivals fight it out in Baltimore the Cincinnati Bengals host the Houston Texans in what promises to be a shootout between two superb quarterbacks. Houston’s C.J. Stroud has been a popular man to back over the season, consistently outperforming his passing lines, which he could well do again on Sunday, but the pinnacle of his short career came last week where he set rookie records for passing yards and touchdowns with a 470-yard, five touchdown pass performance against Tampa Bay, with the final touchdown coming with just six seconds to play.

Stroud showed he can outduel Baker Mayfield but facing Joe Burrow who has back to his swaggering best could be a different prospect. Over the last month Burrow is averaging just under 300 yards a game and has thrown multiple TDs in each of the last four games. The Bengals are 6.5 point favourites and could well cover that mark but I’m backing Over 46.5 points in what should be a thriller.

Tennessee Titans @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Will Levis Over 220.5 Passing Yards

After facing Stroud last weekend the Buccaneers don’t look to be getting much respite this Sunday as another rookie with hype around him comes to town. Will Levis was taken with the first pick of the second round in this year’s draft and had to wait a few weeks before getting his chance to play, but he, undoubtedly, took his chance when it was handed to him.

The Titans offence certainly isn’t one of the most potent in the league and is yet to top 30 points this season, but Levis has certainly injected some life into Mike Vrabel’s side, averaging 250 passing yards and 2 touchdowns a game in his two appearances so far. Only four teams have allowed more passing yards than Tampa Bay this term, look for Levis to comfortably cover his line of 220.5.
