Seattle Seahawks @ Baltimore Ravens

Mark Andrews Anytime Touchdown

The Baltimore Ravens have been excellent the last few weeks and a large part of that has been the form of Tight End Mark Andrews who has rediscovered his nose for the endzone. Only two men, Jordan Addison and Tyreek Hill, have scored more touchdowns than Andrews and his chemistry with Quarterback Lamar Jackson will continue to pose a threat to the visiting Seattle Seahawks.

Jackson has thrown four touchdowns in the last two weeks and three of those have gone to Andrews, often in short yardage situations. With running back Gus Edwards posing a real threat on the goalline I’d look for Andrews to find space on a play action pass and score for the seventh time this season.

Handicap: Baltimore Ravens -5.5

Since his NFL debut Lamar Jackson has played 17 games against NFC opponents and has won 16 of them. His unique style of play makes him difficult to gameplan for, particularly for teams who face him so irregularly. Outside of Andrews the Ravens receivers have been a little inconsistent this season but the number of options Jackson has available to him should be enough to deal with the Seahawks defence.

Zay Flowers, Odell Beckham, Rashod Bateman and Nelson Agholor all have the ability to stretch the field and create space for Jackson, or Baltimore’s stable of running backs, to cause damage. The Ravens defence is one of the best in the league and should create multiple opportunities for the offence to score, look for a 17th NFC win for Jackson and the Ravens.

Arizona Cardinals @ Cleveland Browns

Total Points: Under 37.5

Kyler Murray makes his return to the NFL after a long injury layoff but with Myles Garrett lining up on the opposite side he might wish he was missing one more week. Garrett is on pace for the best season of his already impressive career, with 8.5 sacks, 7 tackles for loss and four forced fumbles as hunts for his first Defensive Player of the Year award.

Garrett has been the star of a pretty solid defensive unit on a Browns team who are, again, dealing with a revolving door at quarterback. Deshaun Watson looks like he’ll miss another game through injury so its likely to be PJ Walker leading the Browns offence. Under 37.5 points is well on the cards in Cleveland.

Chicago Bears @ New Orleans Saints

Alvin Kamara Anytime Touchdown

At the start of the season the New Orleans Saints offence was one dimensional, easy to predict and, as a result, one of the lowest scoring in the NFL. A massive part of that was the absence of running back Alvin Kamara due to suspension. Without Kamara the Saints failed to score more than 20 points in a game – in the five games since his return they have scored 31+ three times.

Last week he looked to be back to his best, racking up 108 total yards and two touchdowns in a win over the Indianapolis Colts and facing a poor Chicago Bears team I’d be surprised if he didn’t have multiple chances to score again. Since his return to the starting lineup Kamara is averaging 25 touches a game and 8/11 to score anytime is worth a look.

Washington Commanders @ New England Patriots

Handicap: New England Patriots -3.5

The Washington Commanders seem to be in full rebuild mode. This week they traded away their best two pass rushers, Montez Sweat and Chase Young for future draft picks and in a division dominated by the Philadelphia Eagles they appear to be throwing in the towel a little.

Nobody will be more pleased to see the back of Young and Sweat than New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones who better than expected over the last two weeks, throwing two touchdowns in both games as the Patriots showed a few signs of life. The Pats are 3.5 point favourites on Sunday, a line they should cover.
