The starting gun is set to be fired on the race to the Super Bowl as the NFL regular season prepares to get out of the blocks.
The Kansas City Chiefs are in possession of the Vince Lombardi Trophy after beating the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII last season. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was named the MVP after throwing three touchdowns in the Chiefs’ 38-35 victory over the Eagles.
It will be the first year since 2000 that Tom Brady is not involved in the NFL after the legendary quarterback called time on his career (for good, this time) at the end of last season.

The 2023 NFL season kicks off on Thursday, September 7 with the Detroit Lions at the Kansas City Chiefs. The time difference between the United States and our side of the pond means the game gets underway in the early hours of Friday morning.
The regular season is set to conclude on Sunday, January 7.

When are the NFL 2023 season playoffs?
The 2023 season NFL playoffs are scheduled to start on Saturday, January 13, with three wild-card games to be played in each conference.
The Divisional round takes place the following weekend before the Conference Championship games on Saturday, January 28.
When is Super Bowl LVIII?
Super Bowl LVIII will be played on Sunday, February 11 at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.
