CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL LUCKY 15 TIPS
Tuesday 12 March (13:30), Supreme Novices’ Hurdle – Ballyburn
Wednesday 13 March (14:10) Brown Advisory Novices Chase – Monty’s Star
Wednesday 13 March (16:50) Grand Annual Challenge Cup – Master Chewy
Thursday 14 March (16:50) Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle – Brighterdaysahead
In the eighth of this year’s Paddy Power Media’s ‘From The Horse’s Mouth’ podcast ‘Cheltenham Countdown’, host Tom Nugent together with former jockey turned pundit Ruby Walsh and well-known journalist and broadcaster Rory Delargy, look at the 2024 Cheltenham Festival.
Tuesday 12 March (13:30), Supreme Novices’ Hurdle – Ballyburn
I’ll start with Ballyburn because you might as well start with the first race – and hopefully it’s the first race instead of the Baring Bingham!
Wednesday 13 March (14:10) Brown Advisory Novices Chase – Monty’s Star
I know there’s talk of Fact To File being more likely to go there, but I like Monty’s Star and the more rain that falls the happier I’ll be for him.
Wednesday 13 March (16:50) Grand Annual Challenge Cup – Master Chewy
I’ll throw in Master Chewy for the Grand Annual in the hope that Nigel Twiston-Davies runs him in this rather than the Arkle.
Thursday 14 March (16:50) Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle – Brighterdaysahead
The Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle is the most likely but there’s still a possibility Brighterdaysahead might switch to something tougher. I’d be happy to back her in tougher company as well!
