Day two of the Cheltenham Festival kicked off with the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle at 1.30pm. The unbeaten Envoi Allen went off as as the huge favourite. There was also interest in Philip Hobbs’ Sporting John, and Colin Tizzard’s The Big Getaway.
In the 2.10pm RSA Chase, Allaho, Champ, Minella Indo and Copperhead led the market and could barely be separated.
The Coral Cup at 2.50pm looked wide open, with Dame De Compagnie and Canardier among the shortest-priced horses.
Day two’s feature race is the Queen Mother Champion Chase at 3.30pm. With both Altior and Chacun Pour Soi ruled out through injury, Defi Du Seuil went off as the overwhelming odds-on favourite for Philip Hobbs.

Back-to-back Grand National and Cross Country Chase winner Tiger Roll returned to the Cheltenham Festival to defend his crown at 4.10pm. The Gordon Elliot-trained star was expected to make it a hat-trick, Easyland and Might Bite the two closest priced to the odds-on favourite.
The Boodles Juvenile Hurdle was next up at 4.50pm. Palladium and Blacko went off as the most fancied, with Aramax and Tronador next up.
In the final race of the second day, Appreciate It went off a very short favourite in the 5.30pm Champion Bumper. Queens Brook and Israel Champ were among the shorter rivals in the betting market.
