Ruby Walsh: My Cheat Sheet guide to the Cheltenham Festival

The Walshmeister knows all about winning at Cheltenham.

Cheltenham’s winning-most jock Ruby Walsh hung up the saddle last season – but not before  Klassical Dream stormed up the hill on day one to give him his 59th and final Festival winner.

Since then, the Walshmeister has been making a pretty good fist of the punditry lark, but didn’t forget his old pals in PP News when he swung by last week to give us his Festival picks in one handy little bite-sized guide.

Now, not even Ruby can predict the inner working of Willie Mullins or Nicky Henderson’s brilliant racing brains, but as we stand on the cusp of the 2020 Festival, these are Ruby’s picks for all 28 races, before the last few pieces of the jigsaw slot into place.
Some will run in the races below. some may not*. Some may win, others may not, but to help that crash Paddy’s making you an offer you can’t refuse.

We’re going money back as a free bet (up to €/£10) if your horse finished 2nd, 3rd or 4th, in every race on Tuesday, as day one of the four-day fiesta comes under orders.
