14:05 – Ask Me Another
The two five-year-old mares, ASK ME ANOTHER and Don’t Tell Rosie, appear to possess the greatest potential and could be the pair to concentrate on. The latter appears to have been gradually brought along with handicaps in mind and she’s of strong interest now pitched into one off what looks a fair opening mark. However, she may find Robbie Llewellyn’s entrant too hot to handle following that rival’s good reappearance/handicap debut second at Huntingdon. Holeshot is best of the rest.
14:35 – Cornish Storm
Stuart Kittow’s CORNISH STORM made a good return on the Flat recently as a close third at Kempton and can go one better than last year when he was second in this. Blacksamssenorita needs to brush up on her jumping, which was rather novicey when third on her hurdling debut at Exeter, but she’s feared most ahead of Public Enemy who had fairly useful form on the Flat in France and starts for the in-form Anthony Honeyball.

15:05 – Catch On Me
A winner on the Flat in France, CATCH ON ME built on his hurdles debut in a good third in a four-year-olds event at Auteuil last summer. Appeals as the type to do better for Venetia Williams, including now tackling a longer trip, he’s selected to come out on top. That said, both The Final Word, third in a novice here last time, and Maximum Offers, who was third in a bumper at Carlisle, have reasons to recommend them and are respected, as is Duffry Trixs.
15:35 – Exmoor Forest
EXMOOR FOREST is in good heart for Nigel Hawke and is taken to resume winning ways. He was successful at Bangor last summer and has been third on his last couple of starts, both here and at Doncaster. Safe Destination bids to follow up last month’s course-and-distance victory and won’t be far away again seeking his fourth win in five starts this season. Camulus and Gold Link can’t be discounted in a decent handicap chase for the grade.
16:10 – Liari
Paul Nicholls’ LIARI seemed stretched by two and a half miles at Musselburgh on New Year’s Day and might be worth siding with to resume winning ways down in trip having been eased 4lb in the handicap since the start of the season. Aurigny Mill is thriving for new trainer Robert Walford and made it two out of three for his yard when successful over further here last month. He is feared most ahead of Stream of Stars who was third to him here last time.
16:45 – Shearer
It’s hard to see past the useful SHEARER, trained by Paul Nicholls and ridden by daughter Olive, who kept his unbeaten record over fences, and had plenty to spare on his recent Ffos Las hunter debut after a lengthy absence. If there is to be a threat it’ll likely come from Acey Milan, who unseated early in that Ffos Las race, but prior to that returned from a lay-off with a near miss in a Larkhill points.
